Twelve beats
Two clocks, kept apart
A story about the Society runs on two clocks at once. One is the story's own: the Society begins in the early 1500s, a mining company is founded in 1850, a pilot lands in Florida in 1938. The other is the record's: a restaurant opened in 2015, an attraction opened in 2017, a page of copy was written in 2026. Most writing about this subject slides between the two. Below, they never share a column.
Nothing on these pages is ranked, scored or counted down. The bands say what the record does, never how good anything is.

S.E.A. begins
DISNEY SAYS ITDISNEY IS THE SOURCEEarly 1500s
Current Disney says the Society was established in the early 1500s; its original motto is Exploratio continua ('continued exploration').

Attaches to Global canon used at WDW
Who, in the story. Society of Explorers and Adventurers
The workbook's own caution. Use as the earliest lore layer. Older Fortress Explorations material is often cited as 1538, but current Disney copy says 'early 1500s' rather than locking the exact year.

Skipper Canteen opened 2015
Attaches to Magic Kingdom — Skipper Canteen
Who, in the story. Dr. Albert Falls
The workbook's own caution. The venue makes Falls central to its story, but exact discovery dates found online are mostly secondary reconstructions.

2021 attraction enhancement / current restaurant
Attaches to Magic Kingdom — Jungle Cruise / Skipper Canteen
Who, in the story. Dr. Albert Falls; Alberta Falls
The workbook's own caution. Alberta is central to the Jungle Navigation Company story but is not automatically an S.E.A. member simply because Albert was.

Attaches to Magic Kingdom — Jungle Cruise
Who, in the story. Dr. Kon Chunosuke; Alberta Falls
The workbook's own caution. One of the cleanest current attraction-level S.E.A. references outside Skipper Canteen.
Adventurers Club fictional world
LEGACY OR UNVERIFIEDDISNEY IS THE SOURCE1937-era
The club's story presents an explorer's private club filled with artifacts from Pleasure's travels.
Legacy WDW lore; later S.E.A. retcon
Real venue 1989–2008
Attaches to Former Pleasure Island — Adventurers Club
Who, in the story. Merriweather Adam Pleasure; Adventurers Club cast
The workbook's own caution. The Adventurers Club predates S.E.A. as a Disney concept. Later WDW props fold Merriweather Pleasure and club material into the S.E.A. network.

The date this page will not sharpen
The earliest beat is recorded as “Early 1500s”. Older material about the Society is often cited with an exact year, and the workbook says so, but the operator's current copy declines to lock one. A page that converted “early 1500s” into a year would be inventing precision the record does not carry, which is the one thing this house never does with a date. The vague date is printed as the vague date it is.
One further beat this page will not carry
The workbook holds further beats whose only citation was a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia. The subject is named; the beat is not printed.

How to read a row on these pages
- DISNEY SAYS IT
- The operator's own published page carries this. The workbook cites a Disney page for it.
- A PROP CARRIES IT
- A physical object in the park carries this. The documentation of that object is a third party's photograph or catalogue, not Disney's copy.
- LEGACY OR UNVERIFIED
- Carried in older material or in secondary documentation, and not established by a current operator page.
- FAN THEORY
- Told by readers and enthusiasts. The workbook records it as a theory and does not assert it.
- DISNEY IS THE SOURCE
- The workbook records the operator as the owner of this row. Forty-one of its 98 rows are marked this way.
- SOMEBODY ELSE IS THE SOURCE
- The workbook records a third party as the owner. Fifty-six rows are marked this way.
- THIS VENUE'S OWN OPERATOR PAGE NAMES THE SOCIETY
- The house's own capture of the operator's page for that venue carries the Society's name. The capture is one day's crawl, so it says what the page said that day.
- ANOTHER VENUE'S OPERATOR PAGE NAMES BOTH
- A captured page belonging to a different venue carries both names. It is evidence about that page, and it is not counted as this venue's.
- THE HOUSE'S MAPS PRINT THE NAME
- A dated printed guide map in this house's own run carries the name. It attests a printing on a date, never a prop and never an absence.
- NOT IN THE HOUSE'S MAP RUN
- No sheet among the 171 this house holds carries the name. The run is not every sheet ever printed, so this says what the holdings do not have and nothing more.
- SUPPORT WITHDRAWN
- Every source the workbook had for the row was a crowd-sourced fan encyclopedia. Under the house ruling of 18 September 2026 the row carries no support at all, so the subject is named and the claim is not published.
Two transcription conventions are in use and the page states both. Passages taken from a locally-held capture of the operator's own page, and from the guide-map sheets, come from real text embedded in those files rather than from OCR: they read as clean English and are QUOTED, with runs of whitespace collapsed to single spaces and nothing else done to them. Anything whose only reading is OCR is CITED by document, date and page and never quoted, because a corrected quotation is an invented one.
